Hi! It’s Brilee. I played on the Indiana Mustangs with Lucy for the past 2 years. Almost every practice, Izzy was there. Whether it was a smile or a conversation, she was a joy to be around. I remember one of our last conversations being at Roundtripper and we were saying who our favorite shortstops were. Izzy said hers was mine, then gave me a hug and I told her that she was my favorite 15u teammate, player, and softball sister. She was incredibly talented and I looked up to her so much. I will never forget at practice when she would attempt to get her workouts done while at the batting cages and she kept having this feeling where she felt like she had to pee but nothing came out 😂. The last time I texted her was that Sunday. She was so happy and proud of me because I had been able to practice with Indiana Magic Gold earlier that week. Every night I dont understand why god chose this for all of us. It’s pains me to say but sometimes I get upset and mad, and cant help but cry and ask why. Another memory I will never forget, was at practice when me and Izzy weren’t supposed to slide at practice and we did. Izzy the overachiever as per usual, slide right into me with her metal cleats. I was so nervous about having to get stitches. But, I now realize those stitches changed my life for the good. God knew how important Izzy was to me and her role in my life, and he knew she wasnt gonna be with us much longer. Thats how I precieve what happened and why. Back to the story, later that day I had to get the stitches and I still have my scar that I cherish. The next day, Izzy was waiting for me at practice with a box of Crumbl cookies for me. I remember her standing there with her huge bag with a bright smile on her face. I also remember freezing our butts off at the Montana Fouts camp with Lucy, Izzy, and a teammate name Mia. Izzy was my catcher for the pitching portion and I couldn’t be anymore grateful for that. I continue to miss her everyday. Something that has helped me is writing a letter to her updating her and letting her know all my accomplishments. Now, I play for Izzy. My goal is to go D1, because Izzy no longer can. Look after Lucy and take care of her like a sister because Izzy can’t. Always being there for everyone, because Izzy would if she could. That’s my why. I love you Sperles so much. Cerissa is like a mother to all. Lucy never fails to have a smile on her face and even when shes emotionally hurting, Lucy has that beautiful brace face smile, and Shad has been like dad to me always making sure I have the right headspace and just being there when I needed it. He has believed in me when I couldn’t even believe in myself. 💜LiveLikeIzzy🕊

I’ve known Izzy (and Lucy) since we were babies. My mom was their nanny and we grew closer and closer every day, in fact were so close we called each other sisters. One of my oldest memories with Izzy is when we were about five and we were making our plans for the future; we…

The first time I ever met Izzy was in cage 1 with Jaylen for semi private hitting, we saw each other almost weekly for those hitting sessions. I was scared going into it for the first time because I knew nobody (and wasn’t very good either), but she greeted me and we laughed the entire…
